Adorable dog Appears To Stroke Cat Before The 'Best Friends' Hug. An adorable video of a dog stroking a cat before the pair seemingly hug is melting animal lovers' hearts.
Jordan Ireland captured the sweet moment between her cat Pumpkin and dog Maggi on the sofa together as they appeared to embrace.
The video, which she shared on Twitter and has had more than 5million views, begins with pooch Maggi brushing her paw over a relaxed Pumpkin.
Pumpkin then sits up and puts one paw around Maggi as if she is hugging her and then nuzzles her neck.
Jordan tweeted: "Did my dog just pet my cat?? And did my cat just hug my dog??"

In another video uploaded by Jordan the inseparable pair's bond is clear to see as they lay snuggled together on a pillow.
The clips have brought smiles to millions, with one saying: "This tweet is the perfect ending to the year."
Another added: "I'm not crying, you're crying."
While one person said: "Beautiful ... yet another example that animals feel and love as we do."

Others commented on how fluffy Pumpkin is.
Jordan replied: "She is a shelter kitty. And she is just very fluffy!

She later added: "They are best friends honestly.
